Description
Medical device connectivity has proliferated the healthcare environment. Clinical engineering and IT professionals are working closely together with nursing, physicians and other healthcare stakeholders to develop efficient models for medical device integration, electronic medical record connectivity and alarm management. The presentation will review Huntington's timeline in the deployment of a new electronic medical record (EMR) system as related to the medical device integration. It will also cover the alarm management with medical device integration, subsequent EMR upgrades and clinical engineering's involvement in that process as well as the outline of the subsequent phases in overall medical device integration.
